Prospector woos us tonight at Fontana’s with the release of their album Between 0 & 1.  Won’t you be their Valentine?

In the face of a current trend of pastelled indie/folksy/retroverb/beach-wave, Prospector spits sexy black gasoline rock and lights it up.  Prospector is a fucking band / An NYC band / A don’t let your daughter see this band, kinda band – especially on Valentines Day.

Between 0 & 1 has been one of the most anticipated releases in the LES/Brooklyn scene as Prospector’s addicted following has been amassing since the band formed in 2008.  And all those turned heads will agree that the wait was worth it ’cause Between 0 & 1 just crushes forward and will leave you saying (in the words of John Norris) “Oh yeah, that’s what rock sounds like”.

For a good time, call on Prospector tonight: (THERE’S NO REASON TO BE ALONE)
Fontana’s Bar
105 Eldridge St
8:30pm until 11:30pm

You can also support the band by purchasing the album on iTunes.

Who is this band? PROSPECTOR.

[the back door]

…this is – PROSPECTOR…

…they are this kick ass rock force that have been ripping up the LES music scene for a while now AND they are tucked in that sweet pocket that’s always best kept secret.  They take dark stages late at night and crank out bangin’ red-light gasoline rock.

Now, Louis C.K. is a comedian that I love with all my heart. He’s a comedian’s comedian that pulls inspiration and material from the ordinary, the mundane, the overlooked, the regular, and the forgettable tossed-out moments of life.  Enlightened, Philosophical, Deep, VULGAR as all hell and pure Genius…Furthermore, he’s got superb taste in music. The other night he featured these guys on his show LOUIE BUT they didn’t get any credit whatsoever, so I’d like to do my part.  I figure if they didn’t get any recognition, then I can feature their clip from the show with a clear conscience.

Bang.

I’ve been hooked since back when they were called Doppelganger and I can’t wait for them to release their first LP Between 0 & 1 on November 3rd, at the John Varvatos Bowery location - if you RSVP now via jv_pr3@vfc.com you can scoop up a digital download of the album at the show for a special pre release price of 5 bucks.

If you ever have the opportunity to catch them live, you’d be wrong to pass it up.  Don’t ever be wrong.

For eyeball stimulation and for the love of god, check out these LIVE SHOTS of them all lit up in RED.  Just do it.

Sidewalk Driver

[live shots]

Sidewalk Driver cares about you. This Boston band never lets me down.  As described by one of the best front men out there today (Tad McKitterick) -”Seeing one of our live shows is like catching Lady Gaga giving David Bowie a hand-job on the surface of the sun.”
